New Novel by Self-Published Author
Barbara A. Rainey, self-published author has published a new romance novel

/Missouri News Articles/ - BOONVILLE, MO, February 01, 2008 - Ms. Barbara A. Rainey, a graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in religious studies has just become a self-published author. She has written a romance novel entitled Supreme Servitude.

About the book:
The story is about Mrs. Constance Livingston Bennett, an upper-class Englishwoman who has secrets in her past. Her tale begins near the end of her life in the 1990s as she continues to hide her secrets from both friends and family. After her death, her adult children try to discover why she was so secretive and apprently disturbed for so many years. What lay behind in her past? The novel then flashes back to Constance's childhood and youth and gradually discloses Constance's sordid deed.

Set against the backdrop of changing mores which concern women, sex, and marriage, Supreme Servitude is an exciting and shattering tale which inspires the reader to understand why people often do things that go against the rules of society and how we can all try to understand and forgive.
