Goodwill Stores Have Everything You Need to Start Your Own Reading Program

MERS/Goodwill is advocating for literacy with more than 75,000 books available in their 40 stores and more than 2,000 books available online through Amazon.com.

"Families can begin creating their own collection of favorite books, purchase supplemental educational materials or try a new book genre without breaking the bank, or taking too many trips to the library."
Each store location offers a variety of books for all ages, reading levels and interests. Book titles can be found on The New York Times Best Seller List or even Oprah's Book Club. Popular authors such as Nora Roberts, J.K. Rowling and Stephen King are just a few of the names included in this very impressive book selection.
Similar to your local library, children can choose from a growing assortment of books. However, at Goodwill there is no need to fear late fees because of lost books. Reasonable prices and a wide selection allow children to choose new books for their home libraries. All Goodwill stores carry children's books, adult novels, textbooks, how-to directories, cookbooks and a number of other family favorites.
In addition, Goodwill's online book selection is continually growing to offer the most recent and popular reads. "The e-bookstore has become very popular over the last month and I think it is because it offers a fun way for kids to pick out their next book on their summer reading list or for the adult that does not want to be wait listed at the library."
Goodwill restocks its stores several times daily because of the donations made by people in the community. Recycle any unneeded books at a local Goodwill store or drop-off site and make them available to people in your area at affordable prices.
